Treehorn Farm
Flower & berry farming for the little people.
Welcome to Treehorn.
We're an autistic/woman-owned, family-run flower and specialty berry farm 25-minutes from Hudson, New York at the foot of the Catskill Mountains. We also tap the black walnuts on our land to make syrup and related products and grow willow to create woven crafts.
We do regenerative farming, a nature-based agriculture solution that is rethinking the entire conventional (and extractive!) farm operation. It helps us do our part for the planet by building biodiversity, creating habitats for small mammals and songbirds, increasing soil health, and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
Research shows that this holistic approach to farming has a profound impact on humans, the environment, and various ecosystems. We call this "farming for the little people."
It also grows darn good flowers and incredibly delicious and nutritious berries. Our black walnuts and willows like it, too.
"CSA" stands for "Community Supported Agriculture." By joining our CSA Program, you invest in our next growing season through a pre-paid seasonal subscription. In return, you'll receive fresh, sustainably-grown flowers at a discounted price — while playing a vital part of our farm's success!
Your membership supports essential expenses, including soil preparation, seeds, and staffing. From May to October, we provide freshly harvested flower subscriptions featuring seasonal flowers such as ranunculus, anemones, dahlias, sunflowers, and a variety of lush fillers like seed pods, berries, and grasses.
Our CSA offerings go beyond flowers!
-
"Bloomy Tunes" CSA: Ever wonder what a sunflower sounds like? How about a dahlia? Enjoy original music by Mark to amplify your floral experience. (In addition to being a farmer, Mark is also a film composer and co-founder of the band, Soul Coughing).
-
"Buds and Books" CSA: Melissa (who is also a journalist and writer), curates books by thought-provoking authors to pair with our arrangements, challenging how we think about the natural world.
Pickups are available weekly at locations in Coxsackie, Hudson, Troy, and our farm store in Climax, NY, opening May 1, 2025.
Note: CSA memberships are extremely limited this year, as we prioritize quality over quantity.

Weddings & Events
We love event flowers that are simple, seasonal bouquets filled with lush, fresh-picked, sustainably-grown blooms. The sort of flowers that inspire guests to pluck a few from an arrangement to tuck behind the ear of a loved one or into the lapel of their own jacket.
Who our event flowers are for:
-
You want sustainably-grown flowers (we use regenerative agriculture methods, none of our arrangements use floral foam, and we reuse as many materials as possible).
-
You're flexible about flower varieties (we only use what is in bloom the week of your event).
-
You want to go completely DIY — getting large buckets of blooms and fillers is your jam.
-
You want to go partially DIY, but with a little help with personal flowers (wedding party), centerpieces, etc.).
Treehorn No-Fuss Weddings
We offer an *extremely limited* number of no-fuss weddings from May through October. You select your colors and tell us a little about your theme and other details during a consultation. Then we arrange your flowers based on what's growing in our fields the week of your wedding. We can simply provide the blooms for you to arrange yourself (see "DIY Bloom Buckets" below) or we can also provide personal flowers (bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party) as well as simple centerpieces, ceremony, and table arrangements.
U-Pick Pre-Wedding Parties, Showers, & Small Soirées
Join us at the farm with your small party for 90 minutes in our field to pick some of your own event flowers. Afterward, we'll serve a light picnic lunch or afternoon hors d'oeuvres. (Note: For weddings, you can fill bloom buckets with the flowers you pick (see below), which you can use to arrange in your space. Even if you go this partial DIY route, we can still work with you to handle your bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres.)
DIY Bloom Buckets
Treehorn's bloom buckets are exactly what they sound like: Gorgeous flowers by the bucket, which you can pick-up either the morning of your event or have us drop off at your venue (depending on distance and location).
